Thrift Shop Finds And Free Records! Part 2

Just a week or so, ago, I had opportunity to visit our local Habitat For Humanity store, something I hadn’t done for awhile, and was fortunate to come across some .50 45 rpm records, along with a few 78′s, too.  Mostly Country, but some good oldies mixed in, as well, I dug up some real gold on this find.

Dean Martin – “Return To Me” – Capitol – A great find, as this is in near mint condition, meaning I can replace the very worn out copy I  have.

Roger Miller – “King Of The Road” – Smash

Randy Barlow – “Lonely Eyes” – Gazelle

Marty Robbins – “Ain’t I The Lucky One” – A radio station or promo copy

Bobby Edwards – “You’re The Reason” – Crest

And, the 78′s…

George Morgan – “Stranger In The Night” – Columbia

Little Jimmy Dickens – “Walk Chicken Walk” – Columbia

Francis Craig – “Near You” – Bullet – This still holds the mark for longest run at #1 on the pop charts; 17 weeks in 1947.

The Chordettes – “Mister Sandman” – Cadence

Roy Acuff – “Waiting For My Call To Glory” – Columbia
