Ultimate Twang Radio Show For April 10, 2014

Greetings from Asheville, where things are certainly getting more and more exciting!  Asheville Free Media, the online home of the Ultimate Twang radio show, is moving ever-closer to getting on the FM band, which will increase our coverage of the Asheville area, even more.  Our fundraiser, for the purchase and installation of the needed equipment, is well underway, and if you’d like to donate, simply click on Power The Tower, to do so.

As for this week’s show, it’s lined up, ready to roll, beginning at 4p ET, this afternoon.  For those in other time zones that equates to 3 Central, 2 Mountain, 1 Pacific.  Three solid hours of classic country music, commercial-free!  A partial listing of artists I have scheduled include:

An interesting (and totally useless) statistic, for you, is that all of the number one hits you’ll hear, this week, spent a total of 62 weeks on top of the Country Music world. We’ll celebrate the opening of baseball season, this week, have some UT Inspirational faves from Wilma Lee & Stoney Cooper, Stuart Hamblen, and Red Foley. Classic album tracks from Marty Robbins, Billy Crash Craddock, and Dean Martin. Plus, the solid gold sounds of Jim Reeves, Alabama, Patsy Cline, Conway Twitty, Dolly Parton, Hank Williams Jr., Loretta Lynn, and many more.
