Tanya Tucker "It Won't Be Me" Single Of The Day

Greetings from Asheville, where good music is always on the turntable, in the CD player, or in the MP3 machine.  Today’s Single Of The Day became one of Tanya Tucker’s forty-one top ten hits.

Talk about an artist who’s hall of fame induction is overdue, Tanya’s career on the Country 40 extended thirty years from 1972, through 2002.  In addition to those top ten hits, ten would hit number one, while several more stopped just one position short.

Today’s Single Of The Day, the up tempo “It Won’t Be Me”, came during the second part of her career, which was revitalized with her joining the Capitol label in late 1985.  ”It Won’t Be Me” made it’s debut during November, 1990, and by early 1991, had perched itself into the top ten, eventually peaking at number six.
